| Abstract |
The basic requirement of bone tissue engineering scaffold includes that the material has certain strength, porosity and the pore wall of material is suitable for cell adhesion. The desired scaffold requires that its material has promotive effects of the growth and reproduction of adherent cells. In the present study, calcium phosphate nano-particle powder and Na2O-MgO-P2O5-CaO bioglass powder have been composed by mechano-chemical method, and bone scaffold with calcium phosphate nanocomposite has been synthesized with the two kinds of powder as raw material by organic foam pickling process. The size of calcium phosphate nano-particle by mechano-chemical method is 60-200 nm, and the porosity of bone scaffold with calcium phosphate nanocomposite prepared with bioglass containing 20% Na2O-MgO-P2O5-CaO is 80%-93%, with between 2.6¡À0.2 MPa and 9.2¡À0.6 MPa of biomechanical strength, and with 60-150 nm size of particle and ripple on the pore wall of the scaffold. The organic foam pickling process to prepare bone scaffold with calcium phosphate & Na2O-MgO-P2O5-CaO bioglass nanocomposite is simple, and the prepared bone tissue engineering scaffold material has excellent physical properties. |
