Abstract

The blue light emission materials and devices have potential applications in the optoelectronics. In this paper, we mainly review the developments of the blue light emission properties, luminescent mechanism and device applications of various nanostructures in recent 3-5 years, such as nc-ZnO, nc-GaN, nc-CdS and nc-Si, etc. Finally, new developed directions of this studied field are predicted.
